Junior Infrastructure Officer (Identity Specialist)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Infrastructure Officer (Identity Specialist) to join the Security & Network Operations team supporting the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. The role focuses on identity and authentication gateway services across hybrid multi‑cloud environments, ensuring secure access for government and health services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support F5 Access Policy Manager (APM) for authentication flows.
• Manage Entra ID and Active Directory identities, including SSO and MFA configurations.
• Provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting for production identity services.
• Support hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365) and VMware infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to implement access‑management policies.

Required profile

• Junior‑level experience with identity and authentication solutions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid on‑site/hybrid remote environment across Sydney, Canberra or Brisbane.
• Security clearance at Baseline level or ability to obtain it.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in production environments.
