Junior Frontend Engineer

About the role

MECCA is looking for a curious and motivated Junior Frontend Engineer to help build the digital experiences that reach millions of customers. You will work across the frontend stack, creating modern features while learning from experienced engineers who care about your growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo and REST APIs.
• Translate designs and requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable UI components.
• Write clean, readable, and testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, product managers, and QA to deliver high‑quality work.
• Contribute to automated testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and improve reliability and performance.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools as part of the workflow while building judgment on their use.
• Help investigate bugs, troubleshoot issues, and support improvements to the developer experience within a monorepo environment.

Required profile

• Hands‑on frontend experience from commercial work, internships, personal projects or open‑source contributions.
• Strong understanding of component‑based architecture and modern web fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions and stay curious about emerging frontend technologies.
