Java API Architect

About the role

Infosys is seeking a seasoned Java API Architect to lead the design and delivery of API‑centric solutions in Sydney. You will work with cross‑functional teams to build scalable, secure micro‑services on the GCP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and micro‑services using Spring and Spring Boot.
• Create and manage Swagger specifications and ensure API security, performance, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and front‑end teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years as an API Architect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and optimize application performance.

Required skills

• Java, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JSON, Webservices.
• Swagger/OpenAPI, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/Bamboo, JUnit, SonarQube.
• Hibernate/JPA, complex SQL, GCP cloud services, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Microservices design, security, performance tuning, and integration patterns.
