IT Support Officer

About the role

This position is ideal for an early‑career IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems and supporting end users. You will join a collaborative team within a well‑established Australian organisation, providing first‑ and second‑level support for a variety of hardware, software, and business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal users via phone, email, and in person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation and support records.
• Escalate complex issues and liaise with external vendors.
• Support IT projects, upgrades, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Entra ID (Azure AD) and user/access management.
• Microsoft 365 environment support.
• Windows operating systems.
• Networking fundamentals.
• Hardware setup and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
