IS Operations Analyst

About the role

George Weston Foods is looking for an IS Operations Analyst in Sydney to provide day-to-day Infrastructure Operations and Azure platform administration across its cloud and on-premises environments. The role works in a high-volume 24/7 operational setting and acts as the Azure subject matter expert.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Azure platform administration and infrastructure operations across cloud and on-premises environments
• Manage and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hypervisors, Windows Server, SCCM/Intune, storage and recovery technologies
• Monitor and resolve technical issues across on-premises platforms, Windows Server services, Azure services and cloud infrastructure
• Work with IS Security teams on Azure, Entra ID, privileged access, conditional access and identity governance controls
• Run day-to-day tasks such as patching, monitoring, capacity planning, tuning and performance
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and liaise with third-party providers and business stakeholders

Required profile

• 7+ years as an Azure and Infrastructure Administrator, with Azure platform operations and Microsoft Entra ID as core skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification or experience with change and incident management is desirable

Required skills

• Azure platform administration (compute, storage, networking, monitoring, backup, governance, RBAC, cost management, automation)
• Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, MFA, Conditional Access and access management
• Azure Local or Native administration, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• VMware, SCCM/Intune, Cisco networking and on-premises technologies highly regarded
