Investment Director (Relocate to Dubai)

About the role

We are a Dubai‑based investment firm seeking an Investment Director to lead our investment research and oversee the full investment lifecycle. The role combines deep market expertise with operational rigor, offering high autonomy and the opportunity to shape our portfolio across alternative strategies and direct investments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead due‑diligence efforts by sourcing, screening and evaluating investment opportunities across multiple strategies and geographies.
• Coordinate the end‑to‑end due‑diligence process, maintain trackers, and produce comprehensive investment memoranda for senior leadership.
• Conduct macroeconomic and market analysis, monitor central‑bank policy and geopolitical developments, and translate insights into scenario analyses and portfolio positioning.
• Maintain regular contact with investment managers to assess strategy evolution, performance attribution and organisational stability.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of professional experience in investment management, research, portfolio management or institutional allocation.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Finance, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and complex instruments.
• Excellent written communication and project‑management abilities in multi‑stakeholder environments.

Required skills

• Python programming for investment analysis and portfolio management.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg and other industry‑standard investment tools.
• Additional programming knowledge such as R or SQL is a plus.
