About the role
Join KPMG's Office of General Counsel as an In‑House Legal Counsel focused on technology‑driven commercial agreements. You will work closely with senior executives, including the General Counsel, to provide legal guidance across KPMG’s rapidly expanding service portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on new and evolving solutions and service offerings.
- Review, draft and negotiate a range of agreements such as master services agreements, procurement, implementation, licensing, SaaS, managed services and outsourcing contracts.
- Advise on tender structuring and responses for service provision.
- Collaborate with client engagement teams and internal Risk Management, Privacy and IT Security groups.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a leading law firm or equivalent in‑house role.
- Current Australian practising certificate.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and written/verbal communication abilities.
- Commercial acumen to blend legal analysis with business considerations.
- Project management, research, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a team‑oriented mindset, with the capacity to work independently and manage competing priorities.
