Human Resources Officer – Hospitality (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our hospitality team at Canterbury League Club in Sydney. In this hands‑on generalist position you will support managers and leaders across a range of HR functions while contributing to a fun, professional environment where people are the focus.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and guidance to managers and leaders.
• Assist with recruitment processes and performance management.
• Maintain and facilitate the club’s online learning management system (LMS).
• Coordinate workplace health and safety activities, including training and return‑to‑work procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation and relevant awards.

Required profile

• Reliable, detail‑oriented HR professional with 2–3 years of generalist experience.
• Experience in hospitality, retail or other high‑volume workforce environments is highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with willingness to support the wider team.
