HR Manager (ANZ)

About the role

A leading industrial organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead people strategy and delivery across a diverse workforce spanning multiple sites and jurisdictions. Reporting to the HR Director APAC, the role combines strategic business partnership, leadership coaching and hands-on HR delivery, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. It is based in North Sydney, with a flexible 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, and is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior operational leaders to align people strategy with business objectives.
• Advise on organisational design, workforce planning, capability development and change management.
• Lead and support complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, performance management and workplace change.
• Coach and influence leaders to build people leadership capability and accountability.
• Drive talent management, succession planning and retention strategies for key roles.
• Support enterprise bargaining and industrial relations initiatives.
• Lead HR projects, organisational development programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion culture, engagement, wellbeing and inclusion across the region.
• Use workforce data to identify opportunities, risks and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior HR Business Partner or HR Manager experience.
• Strong employee and industrial relations expertise.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, resources, logistics, construction or similar complex operational environments.
• Proven track record partnering with both frontline and executive leaders.
• Experience with enterprise bargaining, workforce planning and organisational change.
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Business or a related discipline.
