HR Business Partner – Melbourne CBD

About the role

An experienced People & Culture Business Partner is needed to support a workforce of about 200 employees across Victoria, WA, SA, Tasmania and New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will drive employee engagement, culture, DEI and workforce planning while partnering closely with senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide trusted HR advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance and people leadership.
• Manage grievance investigations, workplace issues and ensure compliance with legislation and awards.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and HRIS data integrity.
• Coordinate employee recognition, onboarding, off‑boarding and exit interviews.
• Support DEI strategies, monitor diversity metrics and drive engagement surveys.
• Conduct HR compliance audits, salary reviews and people analytics reporting.
• Assist with workers‑compensation, return‑to‑work and wellbeing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a HR Generalist, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and industrial relations.
• Proven experience handling employee relations and performance matters.
• Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.
