Health & Safety Manager

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across its Australian renewable‑energy operations. You will partner with business leaders to embed a proactive safety culture, manage critical risks and ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a strong, proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve health & safety strategies, programs and improvement plans.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders on safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee critical risk management, assurance activities, audits and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, corrective‑action processes and organisational learning initiatives.
• Build health & safety capability through training, coaching and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Qualified in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in renewables, energy, construction or similarly complex environments.
• Proven leadership experience with a focus on capability development and high‑performing teams.
• Strong ability to influence, coach and challenge leaders to achieve better safety outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
