About the role
The Group Reservations Specialist will be the first point of contact for prospective guests, focusing on group and corporate bookings at Capella Sydney. You will manage the entire reservation lifecycle, from initial inquiry through pre‑arrival coordination, ensuring a seamless and personalised experience for each group client.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and process group reservations via online and offline channels, adhering to the hotel’s cancellation and deposit policies.
- Create, manage, and update group blocks and rooming lists in Opera Cloud, including small groups of fewer than 10 rooms.
- Communicate block changes to Revenue and Sales teams and maintain accurate production reports.
- Maintain detailed guest profiles and preferences, applying special codes and traces for repeat guests.
- Prepare and distribute rooming list reports, confirmation letters, and pro‑forma invoices.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Finance to maximise inventory utilisation and guest satisfaction.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple group bookings simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external clients.
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and handling reservation modifications.
- Understanding of hospitality revenue strategies and group contract terms.
