Front End Developer – Web & Digital Services

About the role

The Front End Developer will join the Web & Digital Services team within the Brand and Marketing Office at ANU. This position focuses on creating and maintaining user‑centred front‑end solutions that support student recruitment and digital communication goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement front‑end features, wireframes, site enhancements and data visualisations for ANU’s website.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers and designers to translate complex concepts into intuitive user journeys and prototypes.
• Ensure all front‑end work complies with ANU’s Drupal themes, style guides and accessibility standards.
• Identify and resolve pain points in the digital customer journey to improve overall user experience.

Required profile

• A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., UX design, digital communication, web development) or equivalent experience in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to turn complex ideas into clear wireframes or prototypes.
• Strong time‑management skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional response to feedback.

• Full‑time, continuing position with a salary package of $98,387 – $113,252 per annum plus superannuation.
