Food & Beverage Attendant - The Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge in Melbourne is looking for a Food & Beverage Attendant to join its team. As a member of the Ladies and Gentlemen, you will deliver the legendary service that defines the brand, meeting and exceeding guests' expectations. This is a part-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take and process food and beverage orders, offer recommendations and address guest inquiries or concerns.
• Deliver prompt, accurate service with high standards of presentation.
• Monitor inventory, help with ordering and restocking, and rotate stock to reduce waste and keep items fresh.
• Polish cutlery and other items to keep them clean and presentable.
• Work with the kitchen, bar, housekeeping and front-of-house teams to keep operations smooth.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene regulations and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Required profile

• Up-to-date Victorian RSA.
• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Working rights in Australia.
• Proficiency in English and confidence in telling guest stories.
• Enthusiasm for career growth, self-motivation and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Barista skills highly regarded.
• Basic wine knowledge highly regarded.
• Ability to prepare essential cocktails.
