Financial Controller

About the role

Reporting to the COO, the Financial Controller will lead end‑to‑end accounting, treasury and financial operations for Gemba’s APAC and EMEA divisions. This hands‑on leadership position influences budgeting, reporting, tax, compliance and audit while providing commercial insights to the Executive Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and group reporting standards.
• Lead budget and re‑forecast cycles, delivering board‑level reporting that highlights margin gains, cost efficiencies and growth opportunities.
• Implement a new finance system to streamline processes, automate workflows and standardise practices across global teams.
• Maintain robust financial controls, regular reconciliations and audit readiness, and manage cash flow to sustain healthy liquidity.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CGMA, ACCA, CA or CPA) with extensive experience in multi‑entity, multi‑currency businesses.
• Proven track record improving systems, processes and controls in a complex, multi‑regional environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence regional MDs and senior executives.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and forecasting capability.
• High proficiency with ERP, CRM and FP&A/data tools.
• Computational thinking and problem‑solving in complex environments.
