Finance Manager - Architecture Practice

About the role

Gray Puksand, an Australian architecture and integrated design practice with 150 design professionals across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for its Melbourne studio. Reporting to the General Manager and senior leadership, the role drives financial performance, supports business decisions and leads continuous improvement across finance. It is full-time, based in Melbourne, with one day per week working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting
• Partner with senior leaders to give strategic financial insight and support business planning
• Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Identify and implement best-practice processes, efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and mentor finance team members
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and resolve concerns
• Support governance, audit and compliance requirements

Required profile

• Qualified finance professional (CA or CPA)
• Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role
• Experience in a professional services environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and commercial acumen
