FIFO Handyperson / Baggage Handler

About the role

Cater Care Services is looking for an experienced handyperson to join a remote mining village in Western Australia. The position operates on a 2/1 roster with 12‑hour days and includes full uniform, meals and accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general camp maintenance such as replacing locks, door handles and washers.
• Clean common areas – empty bins, sweep, mop and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Assist the utility team with housekeeping, kitchen duties and other utility tasks as needed.
• Load and unload trucks on delivery days.
• Carry out gardening, grounds work and baggage handling.

Required profile

• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence (highly desirable).
• Dangerous Goods certificate (highly desirable).
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience as a handyperson.
• Physically fit, able to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
