Experienced Audit Analyst

About the role

Join Nexia Edwards Marshall’s Audit & Assurance Services division as an Experienced Audit Analyst. You will support audit teams in delivering high‑quality financial audits while building your analytical and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the conduct of external financial audits and reporting audit results.
• Develop an understanding of a broad range of client businesses and associated risks.
• Assess and review internal controls, document client processes, test key controls and communicate deficiencies.
• Perform substantive audit procedures on assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure.
• Draft engagement letters, strategy reports, completion reports and audit reports for review.
• Travel locally, intrastate and interstate as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of external audit experience in an Australian accounting practice.
• Completed or underway Chartered Accountants Program (CA ANZ) or CPA Australia.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• Excellent written and oral English communication.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
