About the role

This executive leadership position offers the opportunity to steer the strategic and operational direction of the 225‑bed Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital. You will lead a large, complex directorate and shape the future of healthcare delivery for a growing community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
• Manage a workforce of over 1,600 FTE staff and an approximately $367 million budget.
• Drive service innovation, workforce capability, and sustainable business improvement initiatives in partnership with clinical streams and executive leaders.
• Foster a values‑driven culture focused on safety, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient outcomes.
• Engage with government, clinical, academic, and community stakeholders to influence and collaborate on health system priorities.

Required profile

• Proven executive leadership experience in a large, complex health service environment.
• Strong record of delivering strategic and operational performance outcomes.
• Expertise in business planning, financial and resource management, governance, and innovative service delivery models.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship‑building skills.
• Values‑based leader who promotes high‑performing multidisciplinary teams and champions safety, quality, equity, and continuous improvement.
