About the role
Telstra is seeking an Executive Assistant to support one of its most senior Enterprise leaders during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This role goes beyond traditional diary management, acting as a strategic business partner who helps drive executive effectiveness and prioritisation across a large, complex organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a highly complex, high‑volume executive calendar, making independent decisions on meeting prioritisation and resolving conflicts.
- Proactively identify and resolve calendar clashes weeks in advance.
- Liaise with internal and external senior stakeholders, protecting executive time for high‑value priorities.
- Support long‑term strategic planning across annual, quarterly and sprint‑based cycles.
- Prepare briefing materials, reports, presentations and documentation for executive decision‑making.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, town halls and other strategic events.
- Manage executive inbox, triage communications, respond on behalf of the executive when appropriate, and track urgent actions.
- Build trusted relationships across Telstra’s leadership community and Executive Assistant network.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously in fast‑paced, high‑visibility environments.
- Strong judgement and decision‑making skills, especially when balancing competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering strategic outcomes.
