About the role

Darling Range Sports College, an Independent Public School in the Perth metropolitan area, is seeking an English teacher for a permanent full-time position starting in Term 1, 2027. The college is the state's only sports college, offering specialist programs in AFL, athletics, baseball, basketball, netball, soccer, swimming and rugby, alongside academic, music, vocational and arts programs. The English team is described as talented and energetic, and the college is committed to building safe, positive learning environments.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a teacher in the Senior School
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver high-quality curriculum and programs in the English learning area
• Experience teaching ATAR English is advantageous
• Willingness to incorporate Explicit Instruction (EI) into teaching practice; knowledge or completion of Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) and Instructional Strategies (IS) workshops is highly desirable
• Eligible teacher qualification and registration, and Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with relevant work rights
• Valid Working with Children Check and a current Screening Clearance Number
