Electrical Leading Hand (Maintenance Supervisor)

About the role

A leading ASX-listed Australian manufacturing and supply chain business is recruiting an experienced Electrical Leading Hand for a high-performing maintenance team at one of its key processing facilities. The role provides technical expertise and day-to-day direction to the electrical team, keeping plant reliable and minimising downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support daily electrical maintenance across the site
• Give technical guidance and mentorship to electricians and contractors
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues to reduce production downtime
• Drive preventative and predictive maintenance to improve asset reliability
• Support capital projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure work is done safely and in line with standards and procedures
• Work with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimise plant performance
• Help with maintenance planning, shutdowns and resource coordination
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Required profile

• 5+ years of industrial electrical trade experience; instrumentation and automation exposure is highly regarded
• Background in FMCG, oil and gas, chemical, steel or heavy manufacturing preferred
• Ability to lead the team and build capability
• Strong problem-solving approach and strategic technical ownership of the site
