Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer joins the Engineering team supporting Pelican Point Power Station and Synergen Power assets in South Australia. You will help ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical generation and distribution systems, contributing to long‑term plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of engineering standards, policies and procedures for electrical assets.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance and operations teams to maintain safe plant performance.
• Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting and continuous improvement of asset strategies.
• Investigate plant issues and assist in identifying practical solutions.
• Assist with planning and coordination of outages, inspections and electrical maintenance activities.
• Support project delivery, including scope development, contractor coordination and completion of works to required standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in power generation or a heavy‑electrical environment.
• Understanding of asset management and maintenance practices for electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with high, medium and low voltage systems and associated plant equipment.
• Awareness of safety, environmental and regulatory requirements relevant to power generation.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
