Early Childhood & Primary Teacher (K-6) – Full/Part Time

About the role

River Valley Primary School is building a pool of qualified Early Childhood and Primary teachers for permanent, fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time positions that may arise throughout the 2026 school year and into Term 2 of 2027. The role involves delivering a balanced curriculum that blends explicit teaching with play‑based learning for K‑6 students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in literacy, numeracy and other core subjects across year levels.
• Implement play‑based learning strategies for early years and inquiry‑based approaches for upper primary.
• Manage multi‑age classrooms, fostering collaboration, leadership and independence among students.
• Apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress through individualized case management and provide timely feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a recognized credential in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting student wellbeing and achievement.
• Commitment to the school’s values of Resilience, Responsibility and Respect.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time and adapt to permanent or fixed‑term contracts.

Required skills
