About the role

As Director, Research & Analysis (R&A) Corporate you will lead a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment, fostering a strong risk culture and encouraging collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. You will shape portfolio strategy, maintain credit discipline and support broader business and risk initiatives across a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the R&A team to deliver high‑quality, proactive credit analysis.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end relationship credit management process, including origination, structuring, risk grading, approval and documentation.
• Conduct and supervise complex transaction assessments and specialised industry research.
• Ensure credit risk frameworks are upheld and act as first line of defence alongside Relationship Managers.
• Influence stakeholders with trusted advice, balancing commercial opportunities with prudent risk management.
• Exercise credit‑approval discretion within defined limits.
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit analysis and risk management within institutional banking.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop senior analysts.
• Strong commercial acumen with capacity to influence strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining credit discipline in a complex portfolio.
