Director, Global Program Liaison

About the role

Lead the governance, integration and delivery of partner programs across Western Sydney University's expanding transnational education portfolio. This senior position provides strategic and operational leadership for global and partner‑delivered academic programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish governance frameworks, decision pathways, quality controls and risk arrangements for offshore and partner‑delivered programmes.
• Coordinate curriculum approvals, teaching readiness, progression, results and student administration across multiple academic calendars.
• Represent the University in strategic partner engagements and advise on feasibility, readiness and sustainability of new programmes.
• Oversee executive visits, delegations, graduations, industry and alumni engagement, student mobility and scholarship coordination.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in education, management, international education or related field, or equivalent senior experience.
• Extensive senior leadership experience in higher education, transnational education or academic operations.
• Deep knowledge of academic governance, curriculum management, quality assurance, policy compliance and risk management.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across campuses, jurisdictions and cultures.

Required skills

• Highly developed judgement and communication skills, including preparing executive briefings and governance papers.
• Experience resolving complex issues and coordinating multi‑jurisdictional academic operations.
