DevOps Engineer – Cloud, Kubernetes & Terraform (Sydney)

About the role

We are partnering with a large, well‑established financial services organisation undergoing a technology transformation. The role will focus on modern cloud infrastructure, automation and platform engineering to support next‑generation digital and AI‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Work with Kubernetes, containerised applications and platform engineering initiatives.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Drive reliability, scalability, security and operational excellence across critical environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and security teams on DevSecOps practices.
• Support observability, monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Solid CI/CD knowledge, preferably with GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar tools.
• Linux administration and scripting experience.
• Security‑first mindset with understanding of cloud governance and compliance.
