DevOps Engineer – Azure (Sydney)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to manage application deployment, production support and automation across development and production environments. The role works closely with development teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and ensure system stability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage application deployment across Development, Test and Production environments.
• Maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes with Ansible and Terraform.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure application reliability.
• Maintain build and release documentation, including installation and migration guides.
• Collaborate with developers on code deployments and system improvements.
• Handle incident management via Jira/ServiceNow tickets.
• Write shell scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and system monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Linux (RedHat, CentOS).
• Hands‑on experience with Git, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Rancher.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure (and optionally AWS).
• Familiarity with databases and messaging systems like Oracle, MongoDB, Kafka and the ELK stack.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
