Dental Assistant / Receptionist (Casual)

About the role

Maven Dental Subiaco, part of the Abano Healthcare network, is looking for a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join its team on Rokeby Road. The practice offers general, restorative and implant dentistry and Invisalign. The role is primarily focused on sterilisation, with reception and other dental assisting duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, process and maintain instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards
• Provide chairside assistance for general, restorative and preventive treatments
• Assist with implant placements, extractions and other surgical procedures
• Take scans and clinical photographs for Invisalign treatment
• Keep patients comfortable and informed, especially anxious ones
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and chart in Dental4Windows (D4W)
• Help with stock control and ordering, and assist with treatment discussions
• Welcome patients, answer phones and help with appointments and enquiries

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, particularly in sterilisation and infection control
• Knowledge of dental instrument processing, sterilisation procedures and infection control standards
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management
• Friendly, professional communication and a patient-focused approach
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support teammates
