Demand & Allocation Lead (Temporary)

About the role

A fast-growing FMCG manufacturer in Melbourne needs an experienced planner to take control of the short-term picture for the next few months, as demand is outpacing supply and plans are moving quickly. This is a 3-month fixed-term contract, starting late November, based onsite in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Decide how stock is allocated across products and customers over the coming weeks while supply is tight
• Compare production plans against stock on hand and stock at risk, and make clear decisions
• Manage new product launches and range changes
• Adjust the short-term forecast and explain changes to sales stakeholders at every level
• Build practical solutions in Excel

Required profile

• Background in demand planning, supply planning, inventory or retail supply
• Calm under incomplete information, comfortable pushing back, and trusted by colleagues
• Experience with short shelf-life or fast-moving products is a plus
