Data Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the Manager of Data & Insights, you will help build and operate MinRes' Data, Integration and Analytics (DIA) Platform. The platform supports operational and corporate reporting, analytics and AI‑driven insights across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain a Databricks‑based data platform, including automated data pipelines.
• Establish CI/CD workflows for Databricks pipeline deployment using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modular development practices.
• Create integration pipelines for API‑based, event‑driven and batch ingestion using Apache Kafka, Fivetran, Databricks Lakeflow Connect and related tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to continuously improve the data platform.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, Databricks and Python.
• Experience in data engineering, analytics and cloud‑based platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Demonstrated history of platform optimisation and pipeline automation.
• Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
