Data Analyst – Government Contract (9‑month)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support a government client on an initial 9‑month contract. The role combines data analysis, solution design and strong techno‑functional skills to help deliver business outcomes and meet stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to develop and review use cases and technical specifications for data solutions.
• Design, build and maintain data sets, models and assets on SAP HANA, Azure and Databricks.
• Participate in the ELT development lifecycle and assist with deployment activities.
• Create SIT and UAT test scenarios in collaboration with testers and business analysts.
• Develop and support metadata management and business‑rules management for data transformation.
• Support data platform operations and continuous improvement from functional and technical perspectives.
• Coordinate project execution together with Solution Architects and Project Managers.
• Assist Solution Architects with roadmaps, reporting, architectural designs, data maturity and governance.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture and maintain strong relationships across client agencies.
• Train existing staff, hand over responsibilities and produce documentation to an acceptable standard.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and building end‑to‑end data pipelines on SAP HANA and Azure Databricks.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT processes and governance toolsets, as well as Business Intelligence toolsets.
• Strong data analysis capabilities using HANA SQL or Spark SQL.
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data issues from multiple perspectives.
• Experience maintaining conceptual, logical and dimensional data models.
• Professional written and verbal communication, formal documentation and diagramming skills.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving and a willingness to explore technical solutions.
• Preferred (but not mandatory) experience with SAP HANA 2.0 ELT, SDI, SDA, XSA, CDS, SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI, and functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules (PSCD, CM, TRM, FICA).
