Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

ViCyber is seeking a client‑facing Cyber Security Consultant to join its fast‑growing SaaS team in Hornsby, NSW. This full‑time hybrid position involves engaging with SME customers, translating security findings into actionable roadmaps, and delivering executive‑level updates.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand security needs and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning, remediation, and track progress.
• Hand over operational tasks to delivery teams, including order provisioning, billing, and CRM updates.
• Develop practical security roadmaps and produce board‑ready reports that communicate business impact in plain English.
• Shape proposals and manage project scope, milestones, and repeatable processes.

Required profile

• 1–5+ years of experience in cyber advisory or delivery.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, information security, and risk mitigation.
• Hands‑on experience with application and network security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to brief executives clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH are a plus.
• Experience working with SMEs is advantageous.
