Customer Service Representative – 8‑Month Contract (Surgical)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Customer Service Representative on an 8‑month contract to support its Surgical product line. The role sits within the Sales & Sales Support function and focuses on processing orders and handling customer enquiries for eye‑care professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming orders via phone, email and representative instructions.
• Monitor order deadlines, communicate back‑order status and coordinate with planning to resolve rejected orders.
• Liaise with finance, warehouse, delivery, credit controllers and sales teams to address customer queries and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Manage returns, log cases in the CRM system and arrange product returns in line with the Returns Policy.
• Process price‑adjustment credits and maintain accurate documentation.
• Generate weekly sales and back‑order reports and notify relevant parties of adverse events or quality complaints within 24 hours.
• Maintain asset and contract databases, ensuring purchase orders are processed according to departmental KPIs.
