About the role

Kinexus is expanding its Defence recruitment team in Melbourne and seeks a Contract Recruitment Consultant. This role offers the chance to specialise in defence and government contracting while learning from an experienced senior recruiter.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a contract recruitment desk within the Defence and Government sector.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, contractors and candidates.
  • Deliver consistent contractor placements and workforce solutions across key accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and build talent pools of security‑cleared professionals.

Required profile

  • Proven experience running a profitable contract or temporary recruitment desk.
  • Strong contractor care, account management and business development capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain recurring revenue streams and grow client relationships.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
