Commis Chef - Part-Time

About the role

Pullman Adelaide, one of Accor's brands, is looking for a part-time Commis Chef. The hotel has 308 rooms overlooking Hindmarsh Square and offers a supportive environment where you can grow and pursue career opportunities in your hotel or other hospitality settings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise en place as required.
• Take part in creating various menu items.
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
• Keep working areas clean and tidy and maintain all equipment.

Required profile

• Qualified chef (Commercial Cookery Cert IV or internationally recognised equivalent in Australia).
• At least 1 year of proven experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication, impeccable grooming and presentation.
• Able to multitask, cope under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of food safety practices and HACCP.
• Ability to maintain food safety standards.
• Modified food diet experience in a commercial kitchen is an advantage.
