Commercial Manager – Alliances (Infrastructure Projects)

About the role

The Commercial Manager – Alliances is an embedded position within a major infrastructure alliance delivering Queensland’s largest transport programme. You will act as the primary commercial interface between the Delivery Authority and the Alliance, shaping strategy, managing risk and ensuring contractual performance across a complex, multi‑party environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Alliance Agreement interface with key stakeholders, including oversight of KPIs, adjustment events and additional work packages.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Alliance commercial team, ensuring contracts, sub‑contracts and procurement activities align with the Delivery Authority’s performance frameworks.
• Advise on contractual performance, commercial risk and procurement activities within the multi‑party delivery environment.
• Drive strategic commercial decisions, mentor commercial personnel and ensure value and compliance across partners.

Required profile

• Proven ability to navigate complex commercial and contractual environments in large infrastructure projects.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with alliance partners, project partners and suppliers.
• Leadership and mentoring influence over commercial teams, without formal direct reports.
• Experience delivering commercial strategy for multi‑stakeholder transport or construction programmes.
