Commercial Finance Analyst

About the role

Join an ASX‑listed tech business in the CBD as a Commercial Finance Analyst, reporting to a senior leader in a collaborative team. You will support monthly reporting, budgeting and strategic financial analysis across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, executive packs and perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, planning processes and develop financial models for strategic initiatives.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with finance and non‑finance stakeholders to provide commercial insights and decision support.
• Utilise ERP systems to extract, validate and analyse data, and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified (or close to completing) with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• First‑time or second‑time movers from business services or audit backgrounds are encouraged.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and ability to translate financial data into business insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including handling large data sets and financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems for data extraction and validation.
• Financial modelling expertise.

• Salary $130,000‑$140,000 + Super, dependent on experience.
