Clinical Nurse – Community Health (Meekatharra)

About the role

The Community Health team in Meekatharra is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to deliver primary health services across the region. This full‑time position (76 hours per fortnight) can be offered as permanent, fixed‑term or casual employment, with the possibility of fly‑in‑fly‑out or drive‑in‑drive‑out arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical services within core community health programs, including immunisation, school health and child health.
• Deliver quality primary health care to individuals and families, adhering to competency standards and planned health outcomes.
• Develop, implement and evaluate primary health initiatives in line with community needs.
• Travel throughout the Murchison region as required, using a valid C or C‑A class driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Strong nursing experience in community, school and child health settings.
• Demonstrated ability to apply primary health principles in clinical practice.
• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Registered Nurse qualification and current registration.
• Valid C or C‑A class driver’s licence.
