Clerical Officer / Receptionist – Derby

About the role

The WA Country Health Service is seeking a Clerical Officer / Receptionist to provide professional, customer‑focused front‑desk and administrative support at the Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service clinic in Derby. This position is available on a permanent part‑time, fixed‑term part‑time or casual basis, working 48 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the clinic switchboard and manage incoming calls.
• Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a courteous and efficient reception experience.
• Support clinical systems by entering and retrieving patient information.
• Perform a wide range of clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and preparing documents for the multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa allowing indefinite work in Australia (for permanent roles).
• Eligibility to undergo criminal record, integrity, and, if required, working‑with‑children checks.
• Ability to complete a pre‑employment health assessment.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work within a diverse health‑care environment.
