Change, Environment and Release Lead

About the role

The Change, Environment and Release Lead will ensure technology changes and releases are delivered in a structured, predictable and low‑risk manner across Council’s digital platforms. This senior position coordinates technology platforms, service owners, vendors and business stakeholders to maintain service reliability and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Drive governance, planning, coordination and continuous improvement of technology changes, system releases and environment management.
• Act as the central coordination point for release scheduling, environment utilisation and deployment readiness.
• Chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and establish release standards.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, risk management and governance practices are followed.
• Manage cross‑team dependencies, competing priorities and environment scheduling conflicts.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IT change and release management within complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including presenting to executive level.
• Solid understanding of ITIL, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience chairing CAB or similar governance forums.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, integration platforms and cloud services.
• Right to work in Australia and willingness to undergo a National Police Record Check.

What we offer

• Full‑time, ongoing permanent position.
• Salary range $114,259 – $127,587 per annum plus superannuation and RDO.
