Catering Assistant – Casual

About the role

We are looking for a casual Catering Assistant to support the daily operations of our on‑site café and catering services in Bathurst. You will help deliver high‑quality food and excellent service to employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present food items following hygiene standards.
• Serve customers and operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Perform dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Replenish stock and handle basic food storage.
• Assist the wider catering team as needed.

Required profile

• Recent experience as a Catering Assistant or in a busy commercial kitchen.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, management and customers.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment and thinking on your feet.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to the site.
• Legal right to work in Australia.

Required skills

• Point‑of‑sale (POS) system operation.
• Food preparation and basic food handling.
