Catering Assistant – Casual (Bathurst, NSW)

About the role

Sodexo is looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to help run the onsite café and catering services in Bathurst. You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality food and excellent service to employees and visitors each day.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present food items according to menu specifications.
• Serve customers and operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and service areas.
• Perform dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Replenish stock and handle basic food storage tasks.
• Support the wider catering team as needed.

Required profile

• Recent experience as a Catering Assistant or in a similar food‑service role.
• Familiarity with busy commercial kitchen environments.
• Pride in personal presentation and customer service.
• Confident communication with staff, management and customers.
• Ability to think quickly and work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence (or ability to reach the site).
• Legal right to work in Australia.
