Casual Support Worker - Albury

About the role

Wellways is offering exciting casual Support Worker opportunities based in Albury, NSW, with a variety of shift times including morning, daytime, evening, Active Shift and sleepovers. The role involves delivering a range of services to participants so they can live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community, and requires regular travel to clients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support with daily life, including personal care and domestic activities
• Help with social and community participation and skill development activities
• Support the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) program at the request of the employer

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence and a registered, insured vehicle, as travel to clients' homes is required
• Pre-employment checks: National Police Check completed within the last 12 months and Working with Children Check
• NDIS Orientation Certificate (free online course) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Open availability is highly regarded but not essential

Required skills

• Minimum Certificate III in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or a related field (desired but not essential)
• Experience and knowledge of physical disabilities is an advantage
• Manual handling training would be desired

• Pay of $46.70 to $84.06 per hour (including penalty rates), superannuation and salary packaging
