Casual Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Hospital Pharmacy at Peninsula University Hospital – Frankston is seeking a casual pharmacist to support both the Main Pharmacy (Level 3) and the Inpatient Pharmacy Satellite (Level 8). The role focuses on delivering safe, patient‑centred care through dispensing, medication supply, and providing medicines information to patients and health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients.
• Ensure medication safety, continuity of care and adherence to best practice.
• Manage inventory and maintain pharmacy systems.
• Support operational procedures and pharmacy documentation.
• Participate in education, training and supervision of staff and students.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA) with no practice restrictions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing education and self‑directed learning.

Required skills

• Experience with Electronic Medication Management systems, preferably Cerner.
• Familiarity with the iPharmacy dispensing system.
