Casual Lecturer – Hospitality & Cookery

About the role

The Central Regional TAFE is seeking a casual lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment in hospitality and commercial cookery. This 12‑month appointment will support a diverse student cohort and strengthen industry connections.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum in hospitality and cookery using industry‑relevant methods.
• Facilitate learning environments that encourage student engagement and success.
• Provide information and guidance to prospective students, employers and industry partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of training packages and assessment processes.

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Hospitality (or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of relevant vocational or lecturing experience.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and promote industry pathways.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (working visa required).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of hospitality and commercial cookery standards.
• Experience in curriculum design, delivery and assessment.
• Effective communication and facilitation abilities.
