Casual Food and Beverage Attendant

About the role

Novotel Darwin Airport, part of the Accor network, is hiring 2 casual food and beverage attendants to work across its resort venues. The venues include Splash Cafe and bar, a relaxed poolside cafe/bar and PoolHouse Bar and Kitchen, which serve buffet breakfast, all-day lunch and dinner. The position is based in Darwin, Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, help with enquiries and restaurant bookings
• Help guests choose from the menu and maximise sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling
• Take orders, serve drinks, set up and clean
• Keep the bar and restaurant areas clean and neat, following opening, closing and daily procedures
• Take responsibility for your own section and station

Required profile

• A desire to chat and make people feel welcome; full training is provided
• Food and beverage experience is preferred but not essential
• Barista and bar experience preferred
• Good English and communication skills
• Flexibility across early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Valid RSA or equivalent qualification, or willingness to obtain one
• Full Australian working rights; the position is not available for sponsorship

Required skills

• Knowledge of and compliance with the Food Safety Program, including awareness of allergies and dietary requirements
