Business Analyst - Calypso Collateral Management
DXC Luxoft · Sydney
Job description
About the role
A leading Australian financial institution is looking for a Collateral E2E Business Analyst focusing on UI to join its team migrating collateral onto Calypso. The role is a key contributor to a major post-trade transformation program, covering configuration and customisation of Calypso collateral functions, operational workflows and UI requirements, and end-to-end scenario testing and defect management through to go-live.
Key responsibilities
- Configure and customise Calypso collateral functions such as margin call contracts, eligibility schedules, haircuts, thresholds/MTA and allocation rules within a CCP context.
- Define target-state operational workflows for collateral and margin processes (margin call generation, pledges/substitutions/returns, allocations, cash and security movements).
- Elicit, document and specify UI and workflow requirements, including interface-related UI, screen layouts, field behaviour, validations and user entitlements.
- Map current and future states with Operations and business users, identify gaps and drive design decisions.
- Translate requirements into epics, features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Design and run end-to-end scenarios from trade feeds through Calypso collateral processing, settlement and downstream reporting.
- Plan and coordinate UAT/E2E testing cycles, including test strategy, cases, data, execution and evidence.
- Lead defect triage, log, prioritise and reproduce defects and coordinate resolution with the vendor, development and test teams.
- Drive business acceptance and sign-off, support operational readiness, training and embedding changes into BAU.
- Work with the Migration squad so that migrated collateral data supports E2E workflows, and engage Operations, Risk, Treasury and business users.
Required profile
- 10+ years in capital markets, with 5+ years hands-on Calypso experience and very strong expertise in the Calypso Collateral module.
- Very strong domain knowledge of collateral management (IM/VM, margin call lifecycle, eligibility, haircuts, thresholds/MTA, cash and securities allocations).
- Proven experience writing UI and workflow specifications and performing business process mapping.
- Experience driving business acceptance and sign-off for Tier 1 implementations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
Required skills
- Hands-on Calypso configuration (contracts, workflows, static/reference data, UI/workstation setup).
- Strong UAT and end-to-end testing experience, including scenario design and execution.
- Defect triage and management (e.g. JIRA) with vendor and technology teams.
- Agile delivery with JIRA and Confluence.
- Nice to have: knowledge of equities clearing platforms, CCP settlement and margining frameworks; exposure to Calypso integrations (SWIFT, MQ, REST APIs) and settlement systems (e.g. Austraclear); SQL/XML; test automation or management tools; experience at an exchange or CCP; English C2 proficiency.
