Bilingual Incident Management Engineer – AWS Detection & Response

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a bilingual Incident Management Engineer to join the Incident Detection and Response team within the ASPIRE organisation. You will work 24x7 to monitor critical workloads, engage customers quickly, and lead the resolution of high‑impact incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor onboarded AWS workloads around the clock and detect critical alarms.
• Engage customers on a call bridge within five minutes of a critical event.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and response plans tailored to each workload.
• Coordinate technical resolver engagement and drive incident resolution to restore services.
• Provide clear, timely communication to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Collaborate with AWS support teams to continuously improve detection and response processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical acumen and proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Self‑starter with the ability to operate tactically and strategically.
• Leadership presence and the capacity to work with customers at all organizational levels.
• Passion for delivering world‑class customer experiences and a desire to deepen AWS expertise.
