Behaviour Support Practitioner (Hobart & Launceston)

About the role

Be Positive Therapy is expanding its behaviour support team in Tasmania and seeks a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner to manage a personal NDIS caseload across Hobart and Launceston. The role offers flexibility to work on‑site, from the office or remotely while delivering high‑quality Positive Behaviour Support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own NDIS caseload and provide person‑centred Positive Behaviour Support.
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop comprehensive behaviour support plans.
• Implement support plans, including appropriate restrictive practices where required.
• Participate in clinical supervision, multidisciplinary case conferences and team meetings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, families, carers and support coordinators.
• Maintain accurate documentation to meet NDIS and organisational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health or related field.
• 2–3 years experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or in a similar NDIS/disability role.
• Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and person‑centred practice.
• Proven ability to conduct assessments and develop support plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, client‑focused approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
